Squirrels Educare deliver pre-school education in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).

This page is under construction.  Further information on EYFS will be added here.

The Early Years Foundation Stage covers six key areas of Learning, each of which will be detailed below.

Creative Development

Creative Development gives children the opportunity to experience and respond in a variety of ways to what they see, hear, touch and smell.  They can initiate their own learning using different textures, materials or colours in 2 or 3 dimensions, or create their own sounds or movements with a range of instruments or music, as well as sing songs they enjoy.  Children can also stretch their imagination through role play, stories, music and art, and by the use of dressing up clothes.

They will be encouraged to “have a go” as they all have unique creative ideas to bring to the setting.

The other areas of learning will be added soon.  They are:-

Personal, Social and Emotional Development.
Communication, Language and Literacy.

Problem Solving, Reasoning and Numeracy.
Knowledge and Understanding of the World.

Physical Development.
Creative Development.

All the above areas are provided during pre-school sessions in line with the EYFS.
