Friends of Squirrels is a group of parents who provide support to Squirrels Educare by helping out with events and organising fundraising activities to benefit the children at Squirrels.
The group meet every half term to plan forthcoming events. The meetings are a fun and enjoyable time as well as being very beneficial to the children. Fundraising activities have included Sponsored Obstacle courses, Cake and Toy Sales and Dressing Up Days.
‘Friends’ have raised funds for “Stretch & Grow” where an external supplier visits Squirrels and leads the children through a range of fun exercises to help encourage an awareness of healthy living and improve flexibilty. ‘Friends’ have also raised funds for equipment and to provide all the children with water bottles to be used at the setting.
